Zach Galifianakis has entered a first-look deal with HBO, which has already yielded a comedy presentation and potential series revolving around comedian Brody Stevens.
The mockumentary-style presentation — which is similar to a pilot, but shorter — was co-created by Galifianakis and will star Stevens as himself as he goes through his day. Galifianakis will also appear.
In addition to having bit parts in "The Hangover" and "Due Date," Stevens has collaborated with Galifianakis on several Web episodes. Galifianakis also co-stars on HBO's "Bored to Death."
News of Galifianakis' HBO deal and project with Stevens was first reported by Deadline.
