YouTube star and skateboarder Steven Fernandez has been arrested on charges of sexually exploiting a 12-year old girl.
Fernandez, 15, allegedly promised a young female fan that he could arrange for her to meet other celebrities if she performed sexual favors for him. The girl agreed and carried out the act, according to TMZ.
After the act was performed, law enforcement was notified and Fernandez was taken into custody along with two adults: Fernandez’s manager, Jose Barajas, and another skateboarder named Keelan Dadd. It is unclear at this time how they are connected to the case.
The Los Angeles Police Department did not yet respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
Fernandez joined YouTube in Jan. 2012. His channel, which features skateboarding and comedy videos, has over 700,000 subscribers and his videos has been viewed more than 34 million times at the time of this publishing.
