“Young and the Restless” star Eileen Davidson is leaving the CBS soap opera — again.

“I’ve been so blessed to be able to play Ashley Abbott and work with the amazing people on the show and have nothing but gratitude and love for all!!!” she tweeted on Wednesday. “Time for a little more control over my day to day.”

This won’t be the first time Davidson’s Abbott goes M.I.A. The character was off the show from 1988-1999.

There have been other hiatuses as well — but perhaps they came at more opportune times. Davidson just won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her “Y and R” role this year.

In 2014, she won the same award playing Kristen DiMera on “Days of Our Lives.”

Per IMDb, Davidson has appeared on 1,478 episodes of “The Young and the Restless.” The same character crossed-over to “The Bold and the Beautiful” 137 times. Davidson’s DiMera was a part of 343 “DooL” episodes.

Davidson has also been a part of some “real” drama starred on a very different kind of soap opera: She starred on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” from 2014-2018.
