Hello, you. The duplicitous — and not to mention, murderous — Joe Goldberg (portrayed by Penn Badgley) will return to terrorize our screens, as well as London and Paris, in “You” Season 4 beginning in February 2023. Netflix announced Saturday that the new season of the popular thriller series will be split in half, with Part 1 premiering on Feb. 10, while Part 2 will stream exactly a month later starting March 10.
According to the streamer’s chilling teaser, which you can watch above, Joe will be living in the U.K. as he dons the false persona of Professor Jonathan Moore.
“I’ve gone through a bit of refinement upon crossing the pond,” the character says with his trademark laconic speech, adding that he will be keeping his “extracurricular activities strictly professional.” (Totally believable, BTW.)
The forthcoming season will introduce a bevy of new cast members, some of whom will portray Oxford students or fellow educators. Charlotte Ritchie (“Call the Midwife”), Lukas Gage (“The White Lotus”), Ed Speleers (“Outlander”) and more join as series regulars.
Meanwhile, it seems that Joe has not given up yet on tracking down Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), who managed to narrowly escape Joe’s serial killing tendencies and flee to the City of Love in the Season 3 finale. Of course, Joe’s late wife Love (Victoria Pedretti) is no longer in the picture following her gruesome death last season.
Alloy Entertainment produces the series, with Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo, Greg Berlanti, Sera Gamble, Sarah Schecter and Marcos Siega serving as executive producers.
