Most people may recognize Evan Peters as a recurring star of “American Horror Story,” but his star is about to get a lot bigger this weekend when “X-Men: Days of Future Past” blows up the box office.
The 27-year-old actor plays Quicksilver, a new mutant to the franchise, and shared his excitement about landing the biggest movie role of his life in the latest episode of TheWrap’s “Drinking With the Stars.”
“Dude, I was pretty excited. I was jumping up and down,” Peters said of his reaction to getting the role.

And even better, he didn’t even have to audition.
“The truth is I audition all the time, constantly trying to get roles. And this one, he called and offered it to me,” Peters said. “It was kind of mind-blowing. I didn’t expect it at all. And especially not for a movie as big as ‘X-Men.’”
