Ratings: ‘X-Files’ Finale Knots Fox With ABC, ‘The Bachelor’

NBC settles for distant fourth with all-finale Monday

X-Files finale

Fox’s “X-Files” finale performed pretty well on Monday — unfortunately for that network, so did ABC’s “The Bachelor.”

The two channels tied atop the key 18-49 demographic in primetime, with ABC faring better among total viewers. The Disney broadcaster didn’t win by that metric, however, as CBS claimed the most overall eyeballs of the evening.

NBC had to settle for a distant fourth place, despite airing all season finales.

ABC and Fox tied for first in ratings, both with a 2.0 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic. ABC was second in total viewers with an average of 7.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. Fox was third with 6.2 million overall audience members.

For ABC, “The Bachelor” at 8 p.m. ET scored a 2.4/8 and 8.5 million viewers. At 10, “Castle” had a 1.1/4 and 5.5 million viewers.

For Fox, “The X-Files” at 8 p.m. ET earned a 2.4/8 — up 14.3 percent from last week — and 7.6 million viewers. “Lucifer” at 9 got a 1.5/5 and 4.9 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.5/5 but first in viewers with 8.6 million. “Supergirl” at 8 p.m. ET posted a 1.5/5 and 7.3 million viewers. At 9, “Scorpion” received a 1.7/5 and 9.8 million viewers. “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 10 had a 1.3/4 and 8.7 million viewers.

NBC was fourth in ratings with a 1.1/4 and in viewers with 3.9 million. “Superstore” at 8 p.m. ET got a 1.4/4 and 4.6 million viewers. At 8:30, “Telenovela” received a 0.9/3 and 2.9 million viewers. “The Biggest Loser” at 9 had a 1.2/4 and 3.9 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 1.9 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 947,000. At 8 p.m. ET, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” got a 0.4/1 and 976,000 viewers. “Jane The Virgin” at 9 received a 0.3/1 and 918,000 viewers.
