The first trailer for Woody Allen‘s new film “Blue Jasmine” was posted Friday, and in it, you can't help feeling sorry for poor Cate Blanchett.
The trailer shows Blanchett (Jasmine) and the Alec Baldwin character a couple used to wanting for nothing. Unfortunately, it seems Baldwin was a crook who lost both of their money, and a Xanaxed-up Blanchett has no option but to turn to her sister and a far more blue-collar lifestyle.
The film — which features an ensemble cast (including Louis C.K. and … Andrew Dice Clay!) — will hit select theaters on July 26. Though the storyline is under wraps, Rolling Stone describes it as "a risky, resonant update on ‘A Streetcar Named Desire.’”
