As of this week, we know that the third Wolverine film will be called “Logan.” Here’s what else we know. (Warning: Many spoilers are ahead.)
“Logan” takes place in the year 2024, according to an insider. It’s dark, darker than any other “Wolverine” or “X-Men” movie.
Here’s Hugh Jackman in his “Old Man Logan” makeup.
In the future, Logan drinks a lot. For work, he drives a 2024 Chrysler 300 limo that looks modified in the front to look more futuristic. He’s sick and his powers are fading. Unlike in this picture.
TheWrap’s insider said that the girl in the poster is a young mutant. In 2024, mutant births are severely in decline, and people aren’t sure why.
Logan ends up mentoring the girl, who has two claws instead of his three.
Logan’s old friend, Professor X (Patrick Stewart) is literally an old friend. He’s old and not well in the film.
Stephen Merchant plays the Albino mutant Caliban, who helps Logan take care of Professor X.
“Narcos” star Boyd Holbrook (right) is cast as a villain, and his character is described as “the head of security for a global corporation.”
It is expected to be R-rated. Simon Kinberg has said that “it’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.”
