Could Snooki’s Pregnancy End ‘Jersey Shore’?

MTV says “no decision has been made yet on a sixth season of ‘Jersey Shore'”

MTV says the fate of "Jersey Shore," its highest-rated series, is still uncertain in light of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's pregnancy.

"No decision has been made yet on a sixth season of 'Jersey Shore,'" an MTV rep tells TheWrap.

The series is currently airing its fifth season, with the season finale set to air on March 15. In Thursday's penultimate episode, Polizzi's housemate Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino tells Polizzi's now-fiancé, Jionni LaValle, that Snooki cheated on LaValle with him.

Polizzi and "Jersey Shore" castmate Jenni "JWoww" Farley are currently filming their "Shore" spin-off, "Snooki and JWoww vs. The World," in Jersey City, N.J. The 12-episode series is scheduled to premiere later this year, after another "Shore" spin-off, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio's "The Pauly D Project," which premieres on March 29.

MTV said of Polizzi's pregnancy and engagement: "We wish Nicole a healthy and happy pregnancy and congratulate her on her engagement. We support her as she starts this new chapter of her life."
