TheWrap has partnered with Canvs, a language analytics company that measures emotions around content, for a weekly look at some of the characters and personalities that have TV viewers the most worked up on social media. The data below covers March 8-14 and is drawn from the most emotionally reacted-to television shows, including broadcast, cable, streaming and PPV.

A “Bachelor” runner-up, a self-sacrificing vampire and the Pearson patriarch had viewers talking passionately on social media over the past week.

Of the 110,050 Emotional Reactions (ERs) surrounding the finale of “The Bachelor” on ABC, 22.3 percent mentioned Raven Gates. Even though Raven was passed over by Nick (said bachelor), viewers mentioned her more than the ultimate winner Vanessa Grimaldi (who had 13.3 percent of the ERs). A lot of fans were bummed that Raven didn’t win, with many lavishing compliments on the runner-up.

Of the 32,548 ERs surrounding the series finale of “The Vampire Diaries” on The CW, 10.9 percent mentioned the character Stefan Salvatore (portrayed by Paul Wesley). In what many fans found to be an incredibly emotional ending, Stefan made the ultimate sacrifice to save his brother Damon — something that, viewers weren’t shy to admit, had them in tears. Emojis, typos and key-mashing ran rampant as the audience reacted to the final installment of this supernatural drama.

Of the 24,698 ERs surrounding the season finale of NBC’s hit show “This Is Us,” 13.1 percent mentioned the character Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia). Despite flashbacks showing a young Jack making questionable choices, many viewers were content to overlook his actions and continue simply stating their love for the character.
