Not one to rest on her laurels, EGOT-winning comedian/actress/pundit Whoopi Goldberg is diversifying her resume once again.
Now, she’s a weed columnist, too.

The Denver Post published the “View” co-host’s first column for its new marijuana-focused website, Cannabist.com on Thursday, thereby introducing the world to Goldberg’s vaporizer pen, Sippy. The 58-year-old wrote an ode to Sippy, which she was gifted by her daughter last year.
Goldberg suffers from glaucoma, and wrote that after years of chewing Advil like candy, the electronic marijuana device has been a huge improvement.
“These glaucoma-induced headaches come on like freight trains — like, BOOM, my head starts hurting, my eyes start bugging, my whole body starts to tense up,” Goldberg said. “But then I find her, and it relaxes everything and calms everything. It helps my head stop hurting, and with glaucoma your eyes ache, and she takes the ache out. It’s wonderful.”

Despite her enthusiasm, Goldberg took pains to cut off any implication that she’s participating in any illegal activity, and also made clear that she’s not high when she’s on TV.
“It helps that I know when to do it,” she clarified. “I have a day job where I need to be clear. But if I need it after the show, she’s there. And if I don’t feel any pain, she stays in my purse.”
Goldberg will pen this column on a bimonthly basis… if she remembers, of course.
