This isn’t a list of the hottest acquisition titles, which will be forthcoming closer to the festival as the first week of September nears.
There’s a non-traditional biopic, a zombie movie, a Civil War-era thriller, a movie borne out of a podcast, dramas about chess and eviction and a couple of high-minded comedies, among other titles.
Sneider will be in Toronto this year with editor-in-chief Sharon Waxman and Steve Pond, and although the festival is still a few weeks away, TheWrap wants to shine a light on some of the more exciting titles in the midst of August doldrums.
