‘Westworld’ Season 3: Aaron Paul Describes His Character in 4 Words

And none of them are helpful

We have to be in a nightmare rather than a dream, because Aaron Paul has doled out the first details about his “Westworld” character — but none of them really add up to anything. At least we don’t think they do. Here, judge for yourself.

“I haven’t read any scripts, but we don’t start ’til next March, I believe, March or April, but what they told me about the world and this person, it was very exciting,” Paul told Entertainment Tonight during a recent interview about his upcoming film “Welcome Home.”

Paul’s casting for Season 3 of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s HBO sci-fi series was announced in September, but no character details were given at that time. And we still don’t know when the third season goes into production — though Paul seems to think it’s next spring, but HBO did not immediately respond to TheWrap‘s request for confirmation on that point.

The “Breaking Bad” alum kept the cagey details coming by saying his new part “may or may not be” a host. Thanks for that, Aaron. Thanks so much.

But finally, after declaring he really “can’t say anything,” he offered up these four words to describe the mystery role, saying he will bring “excitement, danger, suspense [and] honesty” to “Westworld.”

Fine. Seeing as fans have received no concrete details on Season 3 since the show’s sophomore installment wrapped in June, we’ll take whatever we can get right now.
