Wendy’s Beefs With McDonald’s in Mixtape Diss Tracks (Audio)

“Rest in Grease,” fast-food chain tells the competition

Looks like you just got served, McDonald’s — would you like fries with that?

The flame (broiled?) wars heated up a notch or three on Friday, when Wendy’s spat heat at its competitor with a diss track-loaded mixtape.

The fast-food chain announced the project via Twitter on Friday, writing, “The mixtape drops now. Not pulling punches. We Beefin.’”

The track “Rest in Grease” finds a rapper declaring, “You’re No. 1?That’s a joke/Why your ice cream machine always broke?/Why your drive-through always slow?/Why your innovation just can’t grow?”

The track continues, “Them little tweets don’t faze me/McDonald’s be so lazy/I know the reason you hate me/’Cause I’m fast food’s First Lady/It’s Queen Wendy up in this thang,” later adding, “Y’all are too chicken for this beef.”

Oh, snap. And sizzle.

“Clownin,” meanwhile, seems a reference to McDonald’s mascot Ronald McDonald with the lines, “Don’t be silly, you can never mess with this/To beef with me, you don’t want to take that risk” and “Got nothin’ to hide, we fresh on the side, but/You hide from funk/That’s probably why you go and paint your face.”

Ronald might want to reach out to the Insane Clown Posse for reinforcement on this one.

Incidentally, the tracks don’t have artist credits. Wendy’s did not immediately reply to a request for further information about producers and artists who contributed to the mix.
