After taking the Internet by storm all week with a series of videos from his latest album, “Mandatory Fun,” “Weird Al” Yankovic turned his attention to a live performance of “Tacky” on “Conan.”

He certainly chose an appropriate outfit for his performance of the parody of Pharrell Williams‘ “Happy.” Channeling the same terrible looks he and his Hollywood guests sported in the song’s official video, Yankovic definitely looked tacky — or would that be weird — in a mismatched outfit as he made his way through the backstage area of Conan O’Brien‘s studio set.
It was filmed as a single take shot that followed Yankovic from the makeup room, through the offices and the backstage area before finally depositing the performer on the stage.

Yankovic is in the midst of releasing eight music videos in eight days. The video for “Tacky” kicked off the fun, followed by “Blurred Lines” parody “Word Crimes” on Tuesday, “Royals” knockoff “Foil” on Wednesday, and his take on Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” on Thursday, “Handy.”
We’re halfway through the fun, with new videos continuing to appear daily through Monday, July 21.
