The Weinstein Company has scheduled a limited release date for Madonna's "W.E." The movie will open in New York and Los Angeles on Dec. 9.
Madonna's narrative feature directorial debut will expand to more markets in December and have a wide release in mid-January.

The romantic drama spans 60 years, and juxtaposes a contemporary love story between a married woman and a Russian security guard with that of King Edward VIII and American divorcee Wallis Simpson.
Madonna directed, produced and co-wrote the movie. She co-wrote with Alek Keshishian and produced with Kris Thykier.
It stars Abbie Cornish, Andrea Riseborough, James D'Arcy, Oscar Isaac, Natalie Dormer, Richard Coyle, James Fox and Laurence Fox.
