On Wednesday, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) threw more fuel on the media fire when suggested that the controversial photo sent from his Twitter account on Friday to a female college student in Seattle could be of his engorged member.
Weiner hedged on the authenticity of the photo while speaking to MSNBC personality Luke Russert Wednesday morning, telling Russert: "You know, I can’t say with certitude [if that picure is of him]. My system was hacked. Pictures can be manipulated, pictures can be dropped in and inserted."

Weiner's spokesperson, Dave Arnold, tells the Associated Press that the representative has hired a lawyer to help him figure out which course of legal action should be taken on the matter.
This, despite the fact that Weiner believes the photo was a "prank," according to Arnold.
Tuesday night, Jon Stewart, longtime pal of the congressman, attempted to comically defuse "Weinergate."
As Stewart noted on last night's "Daily Show," he comes to the subject from a period of expertise; back in the day, he visited Weiner at a summer rental shared by pals in Dewey Beach, Del.
Stewart's verdict on the photo's veracity? "No way!" Stewart asserted. "In my real life, in my memory, this cat had a lot more Anthony and a lot less Weiner."
Granted, Stewart concedes, he and the future politician spent most of their time together "swimming in the frigid waters of the Atlantic."
Stewart concluded, "The only thing that Anthony Weiner and this gentleman here [in the video] appear to have in common is that they both lean hard and to the extreme left."

Not surprisingly, Weiner wants to put the whole thing behind him, and has begun showing signs of strain as the media trains its laser-like focus on his groin; according to the Associated Press, the congressman has refused to answer questions about the matter, going so far as to call one reporter a "jackass" when the topic came up.
It's no wonder he's feeling the stress; right-wing muckraker Andrew Breitbart, who first brought the photo to the media's attention, has leveled some rather series accusations at the 46-year-old politician — who's married to Hilary Clinton aide Huma Abedin — of chasing "very young girls" on CNN:
Whether the photo in question actually turns out to be an authentic, there's one thing for sure: Weiner likely has some hard times in front of him.
