The new trailer for STX Entertainment’s “The Bye Bye Man” reveals that the dangerous supernatural entity is taking over people’s lives — one by one.
Starring Carrie-Anne Moss, Faye Dunaway, Douglas Smith, Cressida Bonas, Lucien Laviscount and Douglas Jones, the horror thriller is directed by Stacy Title.
The film — which claims to be “Based on True Events” — is about three college friends who stumble upon the scary origins of the Bye Bye Man, an entity that is behind some of the most unthinkable acts that humans commit every day. To avoid the curse, they try not to think or talk about it, but once the Bye Bye Man gets inside their heads, he takes over their lives.
Jonathan Penner adapted the script from the short story “The Bridge to Body Island” by Robert Damon Schneck. Trevor Macy, Jeffrey Soros and Simon Horsman are producers.
“The Bye Bye Man” will hit theaters June 3.
