The MLB World Series is well underway and while most baseball fans are already glued to their seats in anticipation for tonight’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox, many don’t have the funds for a game ticket or a cable package to watch the matchup. While visiting the local bar or a friend’s house is a decent alternative to shelling out $50 for a pay-TV service, there is another way to watch the series for free.
With the game this year being broadcasted on FOX, fans can select from several streaming services which offer the channel — such as PlayStation Vue, DirecTV Now, YouTubeTV, HuluTV, & FuboTV — to watch the game. Yes — all of these services require a monthly fee — but they also offer a no contract seven day trial, which means if you sign up for the trial now you will be able to watch the rest of the series without spending a dime.
Once signed up for the free trial, users can also enter in their temporary streaming credentials into the FOX Sports Go app, if they prefer to take the game on the go.
One more alternative to paying for a cable subscription would be to pay for an over-the-air (OTA) antenna for about $25 and watch the game on your local FOX station. Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 5:09 pm PT.
