Dick Clark passed away Wednesday morning at the age of 82, leaving behind a decades-long legacy of introducing the nation's youth to hot new musical artists.
By June 1959, when former "American Bandstand" host Clark was still just 29, his contribution to music had already become impressive enough to earn him a spot on the television staple "This Is Your Life," where his achievements thus far were feted by teen idol Frankie Avalon, Fabian, Clark's parents, among others.
