Watch Carrie Fisher Slap Oscar Isaac Over and Over Again in ‘Last Jedi’ Blooper Reel (Video)

Last year, Isaac revealed that Fisher slapped him 27 times for one scene

Last year, Oscar Isaac said Carrie Fisher slapped him 27 times during a “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” scene, and now we have the video to prove it.

A blooper reel from the film was released on Wednesday, which shows the scene in which Fisher’s Princess Leia demotes Isaac’s Poe. The reel is cut to show Leia slapping Poe silly — and it will definitely make you laugh.

Last May, Isaac appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to talk about filming with the actress before she died in 2016.

“A large amount of the stuff I got to do was with Carrie, which was amazing,” Isaac said. “I remember the first day of shooting was a scene with Carrie … I remember it was a scene where I come up and talk with her, and she is very upset with me and slaps me.

“And Rian Johnson, the director, kept doing it over and over. I think it ended up being 27 takes of Carrie just leaning in [mimics hard slapping]. Every time, she’d hit a different part of my face.”

Fisher died on Dec. 27, 2016 after suffering a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles. The actress played Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” franchise, starting in 1977. She reprised the role in “The Last Jedi,” her last film in the franchise.

“She was by far one of the quickest-witted, funniest, down to earth real human beings I had the opportunity of working with,” Isaac added. “She does amazing work — it was definitely a heart breaker.”
