If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again.
That’s exactly what 12-year-old singer Quintavious Johnson, who was a finalist in season nine of “America’s Got Talent,” did Thursday, to great effect.
“And the rockets red glare!” Johnson belted with vocal chords sounding like a seasoned adult hearthrob as the crowd roared before the Detroit Lions squared off against the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving.
His rendition of the national anthem has been widely lauded on social media, with the hashtag #QuintaviousJohnson exploding after he sang.
Johnson was discovered by the show’s online referral program in 2013.
