Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow will release “Max Max: Fury Road,” George Miller’s reboot of the franchise he started more than 30 years ago, on May 15, 2015.
Miller wrote and directed film, as he did on the first two movies, which launched Mel Gibson‘s career.

Miller’s refresh stars Tom Hardy as the titular protagonist, and co-stars Nicholas Hoult and Charlize Theron. The movie will open in 3D.
The movie has the weekend to itself, opening two weeks after the next “Avengers” movie and one week before Brad Bird’s “Tomorrowland.”
