ABC News and the Washington Post are partnering to present a revamped version of “Top Line,” the political program that airs daily on the ABC News NOW digital network.
Relaunching under the new partnership on May 10 with Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell as a guest, the daily midday webcast focuses on the top political news of the day. It includes newsmaker interviews and analysis from D.C. political observers.
In the new version of the co-branded show, a WashPost journalist will appear in the “Post Politics” segment. Those who will appear regularly include Chris Cillizza, managing editor of PostPolitics.com, and political reporters Dan Balz, Karen Tumulty and Anne Kornblut.
“Top Line” launched in March 2009 with ABC News political director David Chalian and senior political reporter Rick Klein.
Sam Brooks produces “Top Line” and Nancy Han is executive producer of ABC News NOW.
