‘Walking Dead’ Star Chad Coleman Reveals ‘Everything Goes to Hell Pretty Fast’ on Season 5 (Video)

The actor talks about the AMC drama’s fleeting good times and even sings on this episode of TheWrap’s “Drinking With the Stars”

TheWrap hosts special “Walking Dead” Season 5 premiere countdown with four episodes of “Drinking With the Stars.”

Things don’t look so good for the zombie fighters on the upcoming fifth season of “The Walking Dead.”

“Right out of the box, there’s going to be some incredibly gruesome stuff,” Chad Coleman, who plays Tyreese on the AMC drama, told TheWrap’s Rebecca Rosenberg during a new episode of “Drinking With the Stars” at Riviera 31 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.

The Season 4 finale saw a significant portion of the group arrive at a supposed save haven, Terminus, just to get captured by possible cannibals.

“Some people live differently than we do. That’s the best I can do for you,” Coleman said, keeping the spoilers to a minimum.

He would later say, “It feels like everybody is being put through a meat grinder,” which Rosenberg suggested might be a hint of what’s to come.

Coleman can talk about Tyreese and Carol’s (Melissa McBride) reunion with the group — since that was disclosed in one of the trailers. But, the good times are fleeting on “TWD.”

“There’s a beautiful moment, I’m sure you’ve seen it in the promo, where we’re going to reunite,” he said. “And it’s going be ‘reunited and it feels so good’ [singing]… So, it’s going to be a beautiful, tear jerk-y-like moment there, but that’s just about how much you’re going to get from that. Everything else goes to hell pretty fast.”

“The Walking Dead” premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
