Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is one of several strong female characters on “The Walking Dead,” but her recent actions have inspired us to look back on some of her downright heroic moments throughout her time on the series
The First Time (S2, Ep. 4)
Maggie was definitely in charge the first time she and Glenn hooked up. When Glenn absentmindedly grabbed a box of condoms, Maggie took command and got down and dirty with him right then and there
Lori’s Midwife (S3, Ep. 4)
When Lori went into labor at the prison, she begged Maggie to cut the baby out of her in order to save it. Maggie reluctantly did so, killing Lori but saving Judith in the process
Prison Assault (S3, Ep. 16)
When The Governor made his first assault on the prison, Maggie and Glenn donned riot gear and fended off his forces with automatic weapons
A Sign from Above (S4, Ep. 13)
Maggie left Sasha and Bob behind as she tried to reunite with Glenn, determined not to let them die for her. But when Sasha comes under attack from a group of walkers, Maggie springs into action and takes out a lot of them armed with nothing more than a street sign
Four Walls and a Roof (S5, Ep. 3)
After Gabriel witnesses Rick and the others killing Gareth and the remaining members of Terminus, Gabriel can’t believe they would do such a thing in “a house of God.” Maggie coldly answers back, “No, it’s just four walls and a roof.”
Deal with Gregory (S6, Ep. 11)
Gregory thought he had things with The Saviors under control, right up until he got stabbed because of them. Maggie showed how much authority she wields when she brokered a deal between Hilltop and Alexandria to eliminate their common enemy
Maggie Rhee (S7, Ep. 5)
Maggie nearly died in the events before this episode, but she still had enough strength to sock Gregory in the face and tell him to address her by her full name, “Maggie Rhee,” taking the last name of her late husband and father of her child
