‘The Voice’: Javier Colon Named Season-One Winner

Dia Frampton was a close second

Javier Colon received more votes than three other finalists Wednesday to be named the first winner of NBC's hit singing competition, "The Voice."

According to host Carson Daly, he received less than two percent more votes than first runner-up Dia Frampton.

Beverly McClellan and Vicci Martinez also fell short in their quest for a $100,000 and a recording contract.

Colon, who performed a duet of Fleetwood Mac's hit ballad "Landslide" with Stevie Nicks, will now join the seven runners-up on a summer concert tour.

The four judges — Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine — will not be joining their pupils.

Casting for season two of "The Voice," which will launch in Spring 2012, is starting now, Daly said.
