Vin Diesel and Paul Walker’s brotherly bond continues to flourish eight years after Walker’s tragic death, as Diesel walked his “Fast & Furious” costar’s daughter Meadow down the aisle at her seaside wedding earlier this month.
With Meadow on his arm, Diesel escorted his goddaughter to her husband-to-be, Louis Thornton-Allan, with the beautiful Caribbean Sea as a background atop a hill in the Dominican Republic.
Meadow posted a photo of the memorable moment to her Instagram on Friday, with Diesel wearing a light gray suit and sunglasses and the bride looking stunning in a white halter-top wedding dress and veil.
“We couldn’t have imagined it to be any more perfect and personal,” Walker said in an interview with Vogue. “And honestly it was easy and simple. Louis and I knew exactly what we wanted from the start. It was a very intimate celebration.”
She added, “We were all barefoot, dancing in the sand. To finish the night, there was a wonderful display of fireworks, and we lit lanterns into the picturesque night sky.”
“Fast & Furious” co-star Jordana Brewster was also present at the wedding, according to a montage video Walker posted on social media.
Paul Walker died in 2013 at age 40, in a racecar driving accident. He starred in seven films in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, making a posthumous feature in 2015’s “Furious 7.” Walker and Diesel were very close. Upon Walker’s death, Diesel wrote, “Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now… and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us… on me.” Referring to Walker’s “F&F” character, Brian O’Connor, Diesel added, “I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were… on and off screen.”
His daughter Meadow is a model as well as the founder and president of the Paul Walker Foundation.
