Looks like Rosie Perez‘s run with “The View” will be a short-lived one — even by the current revolving-door standards of the show.
Perez, who signed on with the panel of the ABC daytime talk show in September 2014, is expected to depart the program, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap on Wednesday.

The decision arrives during Perez’s hiatus from the show this month to appear in the Broadway production of Larry David‘s “Fish in the Dark.” As it turns out, that break will likely be permanent.
An ABC representative issued a statement denying that Perez is leaving the daytime show.
“Rosie Perez is currently in rehearsal for her Broadway play for the month of January,” the statement read. “Her status with the show has not changed.”
Perez’s representatives have not responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
Perez’s departure is the latest in a series of seemingly endless shakeups for the daytime talker. Perez herself came aboard the show with Nicolle Wallace following the exit of Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd. McCarthy had barely been on the show one season when she departed.
In recent weeks, a number of guest hosts have appeared to fill in for Perez and for Whoopi Goldberg, who has been sidelined with a herniated disc.
In September, when she joined the show, Perez said that she was “beyond thrilled, honored and completely surprised” to be brought aboard.
