A pair of vampire vixens have joined the cast of "Catch .44," an indie crime drama from writer-director Aaron Harvey.
"Twilight" temptress Nikki Reed and "True Blood" actress Deborah Ann Woll will star opposite Bruce Willis, Forest Whitaker and Malin Akerman, the film's production office has confirmed to TheWrap.
Kate Mara ("Iron Man 2") was previously reported as being in talks to star, but her manager at The Schiff Company has confirmed to TheWrap that she is no longer involved with the project.
The story follows three female assassins who are sent on a job that might be their last.
Willis will play the head crime boss, while Whitaker will play a psychopathic hitman.
The roles of a grizzled trucker and a delusional line cook have yet to be cast.
Call me crazy but this movie sounds like it could be a lot of fun despite the cutesy title.
The film is a co-production between Emmett/Furla Films and Annapurna Productions, with Randall Emmett, Megan Ellison and Michael Benaroya producing and George Furla, Curtis Jackson and Ted Schipper exec producing.
Reed can currently be seen on the big screen in Summit's box office record-breaking "Eclipse." She broke out in Catherine Hardwicke's "Thirteen" and next stars in Deon Taylor's horror thriller "Chain Letter," which is set for release on August 6.
Woll recently wrapped the thriller "Little Murder," which stars Josh Lucas, Terrence Howard and Lake Bell. She also stars in the dramedy "Highland Park" opposite "Twilight" star Billy Burke, Parker Posey and Danny Glover. Additionally, Woll has been rumored for a role in Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming religion-themed film.
"Catch .44" is scheduled to begin production on July 8 in Louisiana.
