UTA has hired former CAA agents Mackenzie Condon and Chelsea McKinnies.
Condon is a talent and literary agent working in film and television who will be based in UTA’s New York offices. McKinnies is motion picture talent agent working in UTA’s Beverly Hills offices.
They join new UTA partners Jason Heyman, Martin Lesak, Greg Cavic, Nick Nuciforo and Gregory McKnight, as well as Susie Fox, John Sacks and Joanna Scott.
Several more CAA agents are expected to leave for UTA in the coming days, including Rachel Rusch, Matt Blake and Ryan Abboushi.
The agent defections represent a major blow to the culture at CAA, which is already planning to pursue legal action against UTA. Their rivalry has escalated this past week, with UTA signing Grammy-winning artist Kanye West away from CAA, as TheWrap first reported.
UTA has already lured major stars such as Chris Pratt and Will Ferrell away from CAA, with many more top earners still in play and other agencies waiting in the wings.
