USA Network’s ‘Dig’ Debuts Intense Super Bowl Spot (Video)

A female voice warns, “It’s all leading to the end of days” in the short video ahead of Sunday’s championship game

The mystery behind USA Network’s upcoming drama “Dig” keeps getting deeper and more intense.

Ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, the network released its 15-second spot for the series with a screaming child and a group of religious figures huddled in a dark tunnel.

“You have seen things you are not supposed to see,” a weary voice warns in the video.

The teaser cuts quickly to star Jason Isaacs making his way through a dark corridor and an overview of a crowded street in Jerusalem.

A man’s voice utters one word: Armageddon.

“Dig” follows Isaacs as Peter, an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem who, while investigating the murder of a young American, uncovers the Holy Land’s darkest secrets and a conspiracy 2,000 years in the making.

The drama also stars Anne Heche, Lauren Ambrose, David Costabile, Richard E. Grant, Omar Metwally, Ori Pfeffer and Alison Sudol.

Previously set to debut in the fall, “Dig” had to relocate from Jerusalem to Croatia last August due to the Gaza Strip conflict. The series was forced to go on a prolonged hiatus as violence increased in the region last year, TheWrap previously reported.

Created and executive produced by Tim Kring (“Heroes”) and Gideon Raff (“Homeland”), “Dig” also signed on Keshet’s Avi Nir,  Alon Shtruzman and Karni Ziv to executive produce. “Dig” is also produced by Universal Cable Productions and developed by Keshet, Gail Berman of The Jackal Group and Gene Stein.
