USA Network has picked up the series "Common Law," the company announced on Tuesday.
The series, via CBS Television Studios and Junction Entertainment, centers around former cop partners Travis Marks ("The Good Wife" star Michael Ealy) and Wes Mitchell ("The Chicago Code" actor Warren Kole) whose superior (Jack McGee from "Rescue Me") sends the pair to couples therapy so that they can resolve their differences and get their professional lives back on track.
"Common Law" will begin filming for an 11-episode season in New Orleans next month.
USA Network co-presidents Jeff Wachtel and Chris McCumber praised "the characters and the premise" of the series while making the announcement.
The series will be written and executive-produced by Cormac and Marianne Wibberley (of "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle"); "Jericho" exectutive producer Jon Turteltaub and "Medium" co-executive producer Craig Sweeny will co-executive produce, with Turteltaub writing the pilot.
