Univision Communications reported a slight revenue uptick in the fourth quarter, though overall revenue for 2009 fell about 3 percent.
The Hispanic media conglomerate saw revenues of $515.9 million in Q4 when compared to the same period in 2008.
President and CEO Joe Uva credited, in part, new retransmission consent agreements and strong TV ratings for its fourth-quarter improvement. Television revenues rose 7 percent to $420 million in the period.
The company expects a boost from this summer’s World Cup tournament.
