As a result of its divorce from Legendary Pictures, Warner Bros. will no longer release Sergei Bodrov's "The Seventh Son," which will now be released by Universal Pictures, two individuals familiar with the long-delayed project have told TheWrap.
WB had been scheduled to release the movie on Jan. 17.
Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander star in the fantasy film, which Universal has not assigned a release date yet.

The film was fully financed by Legendary, which parted ways with Warners earlier this summer. It's unclear whether Universal will assume marketing costs for "Seventh Son" or whether Legendary will handle that responsibility on its own.
Legendary recently acquired a piece of Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" in exchange for letting go of its stake in WB's "Man of Steel" sequel.
WB remains onboard to distribute Legendary's "300" sequel and "Godzilla," while Universal will soon decide whether it wants to co-finance upcoming Legendary projects such as Michael Mann's "Cyber," "Hot Wheels," "Mass Effect" and "Warcraft."
