Netflix did not deliver with the first teaser for the upcoming final season of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” it DiGiorno-ed.
The 50-second video, released Thursday, reimagines the Ellie Kemper-led series as a ’90s sitcom called “Magic Boy,” starring Titus (Tituss Burgess) as the titular boy, obviously. It even has a theme song and some rad opening credits, because, of course, it does.
Yes, it’s Titus’ world and Kimmy (Kemper), Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) and Lillian (Carol Kane) are just living in it.
The back half of Season 4 — which is comprised of the comedy’s final six episodes — will launch on Jan. 25, as TheWrap exclusively reported in May. Netflix revealed today that batch will include a “Sliding Doors”-inspired installment that asks: “How would everyone’s lives be different if Kimmy had never been kidnapped?”
Tina Fey and Robert Carlock co-created the series and executive produce alongside Sam Means, Jeff Richmond and David Miner.
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” hails from Universal Television, Little Stranger Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment and Bevel Gears for Netflix.
