Uma Thurman Is a Very Creepy Mother in ‘Chambers’ Trailer (Video)

Netflix’s supernatural horror series debuts later this month

Uma Thurman is up to no good in the trailer for Netflix’s upcoming supernatural horror series “Chambers.”

Thurman stars as Nancy Lefevre, a grieving mother whose daughter’s heart is donated to save another girl’s life. When Nancy and her husband offer the survivor, Sasha (Sivan Alyra Rose), a memorial scholarship in their daughter Becky’s (Lilliya Scarlett Reid) name, their intentions seem good — but soon Sasha is warned: “Watch out for that family.”

Per Netflix’s description: “A young heart attack survivor becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor’s sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased — some of which are troublingly sinister.”

The 10-episode series is written and created by Leah Rachel, who described the show as “a psychological horror story that explores the different ways we metabolize trauma. But what starts out as a grounded human story eventually pivots into something far more strange and f—-ed up than you were expecting.”

Along with Thurman, Rose and Reid, other cast members include Tony Goldwyn (“Scandal”), Nicholas Galitzine, Kyanna Simone Simpson, Lilli Kay, Sarah Mezzanotte and Griffin Powell-Arcand.

Rachel and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon executive produce, with Winnie Kemp, Wolfgang Hammer, Jennifer Yale and Steve Gaghan also serving as producers.

“Chambers” debuts on Netflix April 26.
