Holly Holm, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, has signed with APA talent agency, TheWrap has learned.
The agency will represent Holm in all areas. Nicknamed “The Preacher’s Daughter,” Holm is best known for giving Ronda Rousey her first and only professional loss in front of a record-breaking audience at UFC 193 in Australia.
Holm is a world-class fighter who has held numerous boxing titles prior to the UFC and is considered by many to be one of the best female boxers of all time. She is also the first person to win world titles in both boxing and mixed martial arts.
Following her loss to Miesha Tate at UFC 196 in March, Holm’s next fight will be against Valentina Shevchenko in July. However, fans are still salivating for a Holm-Rousey rematch, but no official plans have been made.
Additionally, APA has also signed Jackson-Wink MMA, which was recently voted the top MMA training camp in the world, landing at number one on numerous Gym of the Year lists for 2015.
Run by legendary trainers Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn, the Jackson-Wink team has several locations with dozens of top fighters and champions on their roster at any given time, including Jon “Bones” Jones, Alistair Overeem, Andre Arlovski and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
Holm continues to be managed by longtime fight promoter, Lenny Fresquez, and trains out of Jackson-Wink MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Founded in 1962 by former MCA executives David Baumgarten, Roger Vorce and Harvey Litwin, APA (Agency for the Performing Arts) is a privately-owned talent agency with offices in Beverly Hills, New York, Nashville and London.
