Rapper Tyga has been arrested on a felony domestic violence charge following an alleged dispute with his ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson.

The LAPD’s Hollywood division confirmed the arrest on social media. The 31-year-old rapper — whose real name is Michael Stevenson — turned himself in on Tuesday morning and was later released after posting $50,000 in bail, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s inmate information center.

According to TMZ, Tyga and Swanson got into an altercation at his Hollywood Hills home late Monday night. A source close to the rapper told the outlet that Swanson was “shouting” on Tyga’s doorstep and was seemingly intoxicated.

Swanson later addressed the report on her Instagram Story, writing, “I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited. When I tried to leave he physically assaulted [me] and refused to let me leave for hours.”

The 22-year-old model also posted a photo of the injuries she said were inflicted by Tyga; in the post, she has visible bruises on her face and what appears to be a black eye. She wrote, “I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.”

It’s unclear when Tyga and Swanson broke up, but they first went public with their relationship in the spring. Tyga notably dated Kylie Jenner for years before they split in 2017.
