Ivanka Trump tweeted support for the LGBTQ community in honor of the first day of Pride Month on Thursday, but was swiftly shot down by critics on Twitter.
“Logging back on after Shavuot, wishing everyone a joyful #Pride2017. This month we honor the #LGBTQ community,” she tweeted. “I am proud to support my LGBTQ friends and the LGBTQ Americans who have made immense contributions to our society and economy.”
Twitter users were quick to take the First Daughter to task. Even YouTube star Tyler Oakley and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” actor Tituss Burgess weighed in.
“ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS,” Oakley tweeted; Burgess simply said, “Are u serious???”
Her father has remained mum so far about Pride Month, although he called himself a friend of the LGBTQ community during the campaign. Vice President Mike Pence has been openly opposed to marriage equality, and signed an Indiana law that many perceived as allowing discrimination against the LBGT community, according to CNN.
In February, Trump revoked guidelines that allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms matching their chosen gender identity.
Ivanka Trump’s tweets come amid questions of whether she can influence her father in the White House after he decided to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement earlier on Thursday.
A representative for the Trump Administration has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment for this article.

Except for the trans people who are denied rights? Or the LGBTQ people living in states that are trying to bring "religious freedom," right?
