Now that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have announced they are legally separating, the internet has declared: Love is dead.

Pratt released a statement, also cosigned by Faris, to his official Facebook page Sunday night. The two said they worked hard for their relationship and are “really disappointed,” but are trying to keep the drama private for the sake of their son Jack.

“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another,” the statement said.

The Hollywood couple met while working together on the 2007 film “Take Me Home Tonight” and have been married for eight years.

The couple, however, had a lasting effect on Twitter and the rest of the internet, so the news of their separation — announced after the airing on “Game of Thrones” — hit hard.

“[The couple] breaking up affects me in no way but also i feel like im (sic) their child and it’s my fault somehow,” wrote Elijah Daniel.

“Chris Pratt and Anna Faris just separated and love is officially dead f–k you Monday,” Michael Beveridge‏ tweeted.

Others wanted to respect the couple’s wishes to stay private and offered messages of support.

“We wish you both and your family all the best,” tweeted site JoBlo.com.
