“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” is the “most anticipated movie” and “best date night movie” of the fall, according to a new survey released Monday by online ticket broker Fandango.
Thirty-two percent of the more than 1,000 respondents to the online survey chose “Breaking Dawn Part 2” as their most-anticipated movie, and 51 percent said it was the best date night movie.
Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper’s adaptation of the musical “Les Miserables” was named by 49 percent of those surveyed as the “film that could sweep the Oscars.”

Judd Apatow’s upcoming comedy, “This is 40,” was named by 29 percent of the respondents as the “movie expected to deliver the biggest laughs.”
“Film fans always look forward to the fall season, when some of the year’s best films debut closer to Oscar season,” said Fandango editor-in-chief Chuck Walton. “There’s a real diversity of product this year, as there’s clearly something for everyone — from baseball to Bond to Bella — and new films that are sure to keep fans buzzing well into next year.”

In terms of individual performances, 22 percent of those participating named Daniel Day-Lewis’ turn in Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” as “most anticipated performance.”
Forty-seven percent picked Joaquin Phoenix’s role as a disciple in Paul Thomas Anderson’s “The Master” as “most welcome return to the screen."
The survey should calm any concerns that Clint Eastwood’s Republican National Convention speech would cut into the box office for his Sept. 21 baseball movie “Trouble With the Curve.” Sixty-one of respondents said that it made them more interested in seeing the film.
