“Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” executive producer Mark Gordon has renewed his agreement with ABC Studios and made a first-look deal with Walt Disney Studios.
Gordon’s new four-year dealat ABC calls for him to continue to executive produce ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice,” CBS’ “Criminal Minds” and “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior,” as well as Lifetime’s ”Army Wives.” He is now producing the ABC drama pilot “Identity,” starring Angela Bassett.
Gordon, whose most recent film project is the just-released “Source Code,” has been with ABC for a decade.
“I’m so incredibly fortunate to have such a long and successful relationship with ABC Studios,” he said. “I’m especially pleased we were able to expand our partnership into film with a first look deal with Walt Disney Studios.”
“Mark is a tremendous talent with a great track record. We’re thrilled to have him here and look forward to creating great new shows together,” said Paul Lee, president of ABC Entertainment Group.
Gordon is a two-time Emmy winner and five-time nominee. He also earned Academy Award and BAFTA nominations and won a Golden Globe for Best Picture as producer of Steven Spielberg’s “Saving Private Ryan.”
