All things being equal, a “Big Bang Theory” rerun proved it had no equal.
CBS topped the final Thursday primetime of 2016, an evening in which every single English-language broadcast was a rerun. So, whatever.
CBS was first in ratings with a 1.0 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5.6 million, according to preliminary numbers.
That’s where the mega-tie took over. NBC, ABC, Fox and Univision all tied for second in ratings, each with a 0.7. NBC was second in total viewers with 3.3 million; ABC was third with 2.8 million; Fox was fourth with 2 million; Univision was fifth with 1.9 million.
Telemundo was sixth with 1.6 million total viewers.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2 and in viewers with 881,000.
