Trump Slams CNN, NBC Again: ‘They’ve Hurt Themselves Badly’ (Video)

“We don’t want fake news,” the president says in Warsaw

President Trump ripped CNN, again early Thursday morning in Warsaw during a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda, saying, “They have been fake news for a long time.”

The first reporter to ask Trump a question brought up the video he tweeted that portrayed him beating up a man with a CNN logo superimposed on his head. Trump was asked about CNN’s reaction to the video, which included what many conservative commentators considered blackmailing the video’s creator.

“I think what CNN did was unfortunate for them, as you know, now they have some pretty serious problems. They have been fake news for a long time,” Trump said. “They’ve been covering me in a very dishonest way.”

Trump has frequently battled the media, but CNN and MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” have been his primary targets recently. The president has attacked both outlets on Twitter, taking personal shots at MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski in a addition to the CNN wrestling video.

“NBC is equally as bad despite the fact that I made them a fortune with ‘The Apprentice’ — but they forgot that. But I will say that CNN has really taken it too seriously and I think they’ve hurt themselves very badly. Very, very badly,” Trump said Thursday in Poland.

The president said he wants to see “honest” and “fair” press in the United States.

“It’s a very important thing,” he added. “We don’t want fake news.”

Trump is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Slovenia on Friday.
