Trump Invited ‘Fox & Friends’ Co-Host Pete Hegseth to Private Dinner at White House

Fox News contributor Robert J. O’Neill shares photo of sit-down on Instagram

It’s no secret that President Donald Trump maintains a tight relationship with his favorite morning show, “Fox & Friends.” Now a new photo shows just how close that relationship is.

An Instagram post earlier this week from Fox News contributor Robert J. O’Neill reveals that he recently attended a private dinner with Trump at the White House along with former “Fox & Friends” executive producer Jennifer Rauchet and show co-host Pete Hegseth.

O’Neill’s wife, Jessica, was also in attendance.

Rauchet is an old hand at Fox News and in the past served as executive producer of “Fox & Friends” before moving to “Watters World” in January of 2017.

She’s also not shy about her support of Trump: The profile picture on her private Instagram account shows a woman hiding her face behind a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Before he became president, Donald Trump was a regular on “Fox & Friends,” routinely calling into the program to talk politics and fuel false rumors that President Obama was secretly born in Kenya.

After moving to the White House, Trump has showered the network in praise, often retweeting clips and reacting to “Fox & Friends” coverage in real time. Back in September, Trump granted one of his numerous Fox News interviews to Hegseth.

It’s unclear what exactly was discussed at the dinner. A spokesperson for Fox News did not immediately return request for comment Thursday.

For the record: A previous version of this story incorrectly described Jennifer Rauchet’s position at Fox News.
