“America’s Got Talent” and “World of Dance” carried NBC to a cozy victory in TV ratings on Tuesday, when ABC had an accomplishment of its own. With a special “20/20: Triumph in Thailand,” the Disney broadcast network posted a summer high among adults 18-49 in its 9 p.m. time slot.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. A two-hour “AGT” starting at 8 landed a 2.0/9 and 11.4 million viewers. At 10, “World of Dance” posted a 1.3/6 and 6 million viewers.
ABC and Fox tied for second in ratings, both with a 0.6/3. ABC was third in total viewers with 2.9 million, Fox was fourth with 1.9 million.
