The Tribeca Film Festival will stream six feature films and a variety of shorts as part of the Tribeca (Online) Film Festival, a new initiative launched on Monday by TFF.
Tribeca's online presence will also include streams of festival events and press conferences, opportunities to ask questions of film and new media experts, a feed of aggregated information about festival filmmakers, and a "Future of Film" blog.
The streamed films include two documentaries and six narrative features, all of which are making either their North American or world premieres at the 2011 TFF. They include "Rabies" ("Kalevet"), Israel's "first-ever slasher horror film"; "New York Says Thank You," a documentary about New Yorkers impacted by 9/11 who travel the country helping locals deal with disasters; and "Neon Flesh" ("Carne de Neon"), a Spanish/Swedish/Argentinian co-production about a young hustler who opens a brothel (above).
