Tribeca Film Acquires ‘The Time Being’ Starring Wes Bentley, Frank Langella

Bentley plays a struggling artist who sells a painting to inscrutable billionaire Langella

Tribeca Film has acquired the domestic distribution rights to “The Time Being,” Nenad Cicin-Sain’s film about a struggling artist (Wes Bentley) and his relationship with a reclusive millionaire (Frank Langella), the company announced on Friday.

Tribeca will release the film via video-on-demand first, beginning July 23, before it hits select theaters on July 26.

Bentley stars as Daniel, who after selling one of his paintings to Werner (Langella), seeks additional commissions. Werner gives him a strange assortment of assignments instead, which raises the question of whether Werner wants to help or hurt him.

Sarah Paulson, Ahna O’Reilly, Corey Stoll and Gina Gallego also star.

The film premiered at the 2012 International Film Festival.
