Toronto Title ‘Lunarcy’ Takes Flight With Global Screen

New sales company picks up documentary screening at Toronto fest

A day after the Toronto International Film Festival finalized its lineup, Global Screen, the new German distribution company, has announced that it has taken on sales duties for the festival documentary “Lunarcy!”

Global Screen will handle all territories, excluding Canada, on the film, which plays in the TIFF Docs section.

Directed by Simon Ennis, the feature-length documentary follows a disparate group of dreamers who have devoted their lives to the moon. The group includes an ex-ventriloquist who has earned a fortune selling lots on the moon, a former astronaut turned painter and a young man who runs a D.I.Y. space program.

The film was produced by Citizen Jones, an American production company. Ennis, a Canadian filmmaker, made his feature debut with the comedy “You Might as Well Live” in 2009. Global Screen launched at the European Film Market during the Berlinale in February.
